About Peruvian Art
Early sculpture and painting in post-Columbian Peru show a strong Baroque flavor. By the 19th century, the French neoclassic and romantic schools began to have an influence as well. Today, the art scene in Peru reveals a striking synthesis of European and indigenous styles.
